Michael Ropret

 


Mr. Ropret is a Professional Engineer licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario. He graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering. He has over 20 years of work experience in both the private and public sectors. During the initial portion of Mr. Ropret’s engineering career, he gained expertise in the construction of industrial/commercial and institutional buildings while employed by a large general contractor in Ontario. Prior to joining Rochon Engineering, Mr. Ropret specialized in developing structural earth retention solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects. Mr. Ropret’s wide ranging background enables him to provide sound engineering evaluations on building and geotechnical issues. Mr. Ropret has authored several technical papers during his career and has also been a member of industry-based structural and geotechnical committees. Mr. Ropret maintains his professional development through membership in the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering. Mr. Ropret is presently providing expertise in the forensic analysis of structural and building envelope failures; and, engineering assessment on damage caused by fires, impacts, wind and snow load, and ground movement.
