Mr. Peytchev of Rochon Engineering Corporation specializes in structural, geotechnical and building science engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario and holds a designation as a Consulting Engineer. In addition, he is authorized by PEO to use the official marks BDS (Building Design Specialist) and carries the Ontario Ministry of Housing – BCIN certification (BCIN 28166).

When the country where Kamen Peytchev obtained his “Diplome D’ingenieur” joined the European Union, Mr. Peytchev’s university diploma was re-evaluated and he was acknowledged the Master of Engineering degree.

Kamen provides forensic evaluations of structural failures and/or damages caused by fires, explosions, wind and/or snow loads, impacts, vibrations, ground movements, water infiltrations; and, provides building code consultations.

Mr. Peytchev was the structural engineer involved with the reconstruction of two schools in Woodbridge and Maple, Ontario damaged by the August 2009 tornado. In 2009, Kamen identified the cause for the structural failure within a large-aircraft federal hangar building, and provided consultations during the hangar components redesign and reconstruction.

Mr. Peytchev started as a field structural/civil engineer in 1978. He worked for large multi-discipline design consulting firms as a structural design engineer, as a structural design group leader and, eventually, as a chief structural design engineer of an overseas corporation. He took part in the design and the construction of a number of industrial, commercial and institutional projects in Southeastern Europe. In Canada, since 1991, he worked as a structural engineer for several consulting firms.

Before joining Rochon Engineering Corporation, Mr. Peytchev was employed with a consulting engineering firm that provided design, project management and quality control of structures for clients (Ontario and Alberta) from the petroleum, computer, waste management and other industries.
