Mr. El-Khazen joined Rochon Engineering Corporation after obtaining a Master of Science in Engineering Degree from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. His research focus involved investigating the relationship between low temperature brittle impact toughness in steel plates and specific high strength low alloy steels that have been subjected to thermo-mechanical processing. Currently, Mr. El-Khazen is involved in forensic engineering services such as product assessments, failure analyses, and metallurgical investigations of various materials using destructive and non-destructive testing. His experience has included: Fuel Oil Tank Installation and Failure; Glass Sheet Failure; Fire Sprinkler Failure; Hot Water Heater Failure; Furnace Installation and Failure Assessment; Water Softener Resin Tank Failure; Plumbing Fittings Failure; Toilet Failure; Auto Hoist Failure; Code compliance; Murphy Bed Failure; and Cracking Failures of various products/materials After graduating from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor in Materials Science and Engineering, Mr. El-Khazen worked for several years for Aluma Systems. His experience included engineering practical experience in operations and fleet maintenance, working with various branches on the improvement of the construction fleets overall condition. That position included a thorough understanding of quality systems and processes, and an excellent understanding of the service industry as it related to engineering, operations, products, and processes. Mr. El-Khazen was actively involved in material evaluation and testing, both internally and externally, during various stages of production, utilization, and product failure.
